Can I get this benefit by spending $10 in a month in various cities?
Yes, you will be eligible for this offer if you are tapping (making a contactless transaction) at the point of entry with an eligible Mastercard in the seven (7) markets where the benefit is available. The markets include Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, NY/NJ, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
Where is the Mastercard Public Transit Benefit available?
Eligible Mastercard cardholders who tap and go and spend $10 or more for public transportation in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Miami-Dade County, FL, select metropolitan areas of NY and NJ, Philadelphia, PA, or Washington DC during any calendar month during the Offer Period can receive a $2.50 statement credit. The participating transit agencies include:
Boston, MA: Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)
Chicago, IL: Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) and Pace Suburban Bus

How much is the Public Transit Benefit statement credit?
A statement credit of $2.50 is available each calendar month during the Offer Period. There is a limit of one (1) credit per eligible participant per calendar month during the Offer Period.
